Storm restoration is a process, not a repair
A storm-damaged roof is different from a worn-out roof. The damage is often invisible from the ground, the repair is usually paid by an insurance carrier rather than by you, and there is a hard deadline: most policies require the claim be reported within about a year of the date of loss.
That combination is why homeowners lose money on storm damage more often than on any other roofing situation. They cannot see the damage, so they do not call. By the time a leak proves the damage was real, the claim window has closed and the repair is out of pocket.
What hail actually does
Hail large enough to matter — roughly one inch and up — fractures the fiberglass mat beneath the shingle surface and dislodges the granule layer that shields the asphalt from ultraviolet light. The shingle rarely leaks immediately. It ages several times faster from that point forward, and the failure shows up two or three summers later.
Wind damage works differently. Gusts break the sealant bond along the eaves and rakes; the shingle lays back down and looks untouched, but it is no longer sealed, so the next driving rain runs underneath it.
Our restoration process
Free inspection with photo and gauge documentation of every slope. Claim filing with your carrier. An adjuster meeting where we are on the roof with them so the scope is agreed on there rather than negotiated from the driveway. A full code-compliant rebuild. Then we invoice your carrier directly for the approved balance — you pay your deductible.
